Huge Explosion! In Chonburi, a semi-trailer fuel tank ruptured beyond recognition, damaging nearby houses and leaving one person dead.
Yesterday evening (March 4, 2026), police at Nong Kham Station in Si Racha, Chonburi, received reports of a massive explosion involving an empty fuel tank at a truck parking lot in Moo 1, Nong Kham Sub-district. Investigators, disaster prevention officials from Chaophraya Surasak Municipality, and Sawang Prateep Si Racha rescue workers rushed to the scene.
The incident occurred at the back of a truck parking area. They found the wreckage of a white Isuzu truck with its license plates partially blown off by the force of the blast. The 50,000-liter fuel tank was completely torn apart, though it was fortunately empty at the time.
In a nearby grassy area, the body of a 36-year-old male was discovered. The force of the explosion had dismembered his body and thrown it approximately 200–300 meters from the blast site.
