Eight members of the People's Defense Force (PDF) have been hospitalized after the Military Council sprayed toxic gas using paramotors in Pale Township, Sagaing Region. The Military Council is attempting to conduct area clearing and organizational operations by splitting approximately 300 troops from Pale town into two columns. Military tensions with local defense groups began on February 27, and continuous clashes broke out between Chin Pyit and Mon Thwin villages on the 28th. Shortly after the battles occurred, the Military Council carried out repeated airstrikes. On March 1, they sprayed toxic gas using paramotors, according to a leader of a local defense group.
