A man in his 20s is seriously injured after a shooting in Fagersjö in southern Stockholm. No arrests have been made yet.
Police received a call at 5:22 p.m. on Saturday from members of the public who heard loud bangs. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
– He was found outdoors in an area where there are homes and nature. We do not know if it was the same place where he received the injuries, says Robert Sennerdal, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police Region.
According to information provided to Aftonbladet , the man is said to be a leading figure in a criminal network.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder, but no one has been arrested yet.
– Right now our priority is to find the perpetrator, says Robert Sennerdal.
On Sunday, the police will be in the area to increase security and collect information from the public, says Anna Lärk at the police.
