On 27 February 2026, Afghan border forces and Pakistani military forces exchanged fire along the Pakistan-Afghanistan Bharamcha border in Chagai district (Chagai, Balochistan), across Helmand province. A series of escalated retaliatory cross-border firing, shelling, and air strikes targeting military positions continued for the second consecutive day between the two sides, following intermittent clashes on 24-25 February after Pakistan conducted air strikes on claimed TTP targets inside Afghanistan on 21 February 2026 (coded separately). No casualties.
