On 27 February 2026, a school girl was wounded when a quadcopter 'kamikaze' drone launched by Afghan military forces crashed into a building in Pabbini village of Swabi district (Swabi, KPK), when children were playing near a government girls higher secondary school. Police claim Afghan forces used a self-made drone carrying explosives. A series of escalated retaliatory cross-border firing, shelling, and air strikes targeting military positions continued for the second consecutive day between the two sides, following intermittent clashes on 24-25 February after Pakistan conducted air strikes on claimed TTP targets inside Afghanistan on 21 February 2026 (coded separately). Total 1 injured and no fatalities.
