On 27 February 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes in Pachir Waagam district, Nangarhar, claimed targeting the Taliban military bases. The Taliban claimed that civilians were targeted. Casualties unknown. Pakistan called their retaliatory counter-attack Ghazab-ul-Haq (Truth Fury) and claimed that 133 Taliban forces were killed, more than 200 others were wounded, 27 Taliban military checkpoints were destroyed, and 9 others were captured by Pakistani forces across Nangarhar, Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, Kunar, Khost and Laghman provinces between 26 and 27 February. However, the Taliban claimed that there were no fatalities in these airstrikes.
