Air Delivered event in Paktika, Angur Adah area, Afghanistan on Fri 27th February 2026

On 27 February 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes in Angur Adah area of Barmal district, Paktika, bordering Pakistan's South Waziristan district (KPK), claimed targeting the Taliban military installations. Local sources stated that 3 people were killed, including 2 students, and 7 others were injured. Pakistan called their retaliatory counter-attack Ghazab-ul-Haq (Truth Fury) and claimed that 133 Taliban forces were killed, more than 200 others were wounded, 27 Taliban military checkpoints were destroyed, and 9 others were captured by Pakistani forces across Nangarhar, Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, Kunar, Khost and Laghman provinces between 26 and 27 February.
