On 27 February 2026, an explosive projectile from previous clashes left behind by unknown gunmen detonated in the village of Jadida in Ar Raqqa countryside, resulting in serious injuries of two children while playing with the projectile, that led to the amputation of both their legs. There were no fatalities.
