On 27 February 2026, in Marassa, Ouest, in the morning, police forces supported by the Task Force Police (coded as Police forces) engaged in clashes with the Viv Ansanm Gang during an anti-gang operation in Carrefour Marassa (which is part of the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac area). Several gang members were killed. Security forces took control of several buildings, where Molotov cocktails were found and destroyed. The road leading from Carrefour Marassa to Croix-des-Bouquets was blocked by the police. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3.
