On 26 February 2026, in Haw Zaung village (Paungbyin township, Mawlaik district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped more than 30 bombs 18 times using jet fighters, 2 times using Y-12 jets and 3 times using gyrocopters from Homalin air base at around noon. Civilian houses and cars were destroyed. About 30 civilians were injured over two days (26 - 27 February).
