On 26 February 2026, Afghan border forces and Pakistani military forces exchanged fire along the Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham border in Torkham town (Khyber, KPK), across Jalalabad district in Afghanistan. A series of escalated retaliatory cross-border firing, shelling, and air strikes targeting military positions began between the two sides, following intermittent clashes on 24-25 February after Pakistan conducted air strikes on claimed TTP targets inside Afghanistan on 21 February 2026 (coded separately). No casualties.
