On 26 February 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes in Gardez city, Paktia, bordering Pakistan's Kurram area (KPK), claimed targeting the Taliban's 203 Mansouri Corps. Pakistan called their retaliatory counter-attack Ghazab-ul-Haq (Truth Fury) and claimed that 133 Taliban forces were killed, more than 200 others were wounded, 27 Taliban military checkpoints were destroyed, and 9 others were captured by Pakistani forces across Nangarhar, Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, Kunar, Khost and Laghman provinces between 26 and 27 February. However, the Taliban claimed that there were no fatalities in these airstrikes. Fatalities coded as 0 based on the lowest estimate.
