On 26 February 2026, in Feira de Santana (Bahia), military police officers exchanged fire with suspected drug traffickers in the Baraunas neighbourhood. The officers were conducting a routine patrol when they received reports about the suspects, who fired against them. An armed clash took place and a suspect was shot and killed. Two others were arrested. Police seized a firearm and drugs portioned for sale. 1 fatality.
