On 26 February 2026, in Rio de Janeiro - South Zone (Rio de Janeiro), the military police chased and exchanged fire with suspected CV members who were committing robberies in the Gloria neighborhood. Agents shot, injured and arrested a suspect, pointed to be one of the killers of an Argentinian tourist after he accidentally drove into the Morro do Escondidinho community, on 12 December 2024 (coded separately). Officers arrested a second suspect who was injured in the hospital. There were no fatalities.
