Empty school, 2nd building hit by rocket in Ashkelon; home hit in Ashdod Two buildings in the southern city of Ashkelon and one in Ashdod suffered direct hits from rockets fired in a massive barrage from Gaza. At least two of the rockets sparked fires. Police say they found two locations where rockets fell in Ashdod, and six in Ashkelon. At least three people were lightly injured including a 12-year-old who was lightly injured by shrapnel in Ashkelon. The IDF ordered schools closed in communities near Gaza today and limited gatherings to groups of 10 people outdoors and 50 people indoors. Businesses are open only if they had easy access to bomb shelters.
