On 26 February 2026, Darod Warsengali Nuux Umar clashed with Isaaq Habar Jeclo clan militia in Waqdariya village (Ceerigaabo, Sanaag) over a land dispute, and more than 18 people were killed from both sides. Later in the day, the Somaliland security forces joined the fighting in support of Habarjeclo clan militia. 3 soldiers were killed, and 11 were injured. Fatalities coded as 21.
