On 26 February 2026, a group suspected of being made up of former members of, or having ties to, the Ajdabiya Revolutionaries Shura Council (ARSC) attacked the head of the Intelligence Service's (LIS) counterterrorism office in the central region, Mustafa al-Har, in Misratah (Misratah, West). Some media outlets stated that he was beaten, while others claimed he was shot. Har was hospitalized in critical condition with injuries to the head and at least one arm. The assault took place at a time of heightened tension in Misratah following the arrest of a former leader of the ARSC in the city on 12 February (coded separately). Members of the 63rd Brigade of the Libyan Army captured and beat the head of the local LIS branch, Milad Al-Suwaie, on 20 February (coded separately). Days later, the LIS replaced Suwaie with Har.
