On 26 February 2026, around 11 pm, an unidentified armed group (likely JNIM, based on the location and modus operandi) opened fire on the Wara police station and a customs post at Wara (Segbana, Alibori), causing significant material damage. 1 custom pickup truck and several motorcycles were set on fire, while some others were seized. The group also seized cell phones, and security personnel were said to be unreachable. Casualties unknown.
