On 25 February 2026, Afghan border forces and Pakistani military forces exchanged clashes using heavy weapons in Zakha Khel area (Khyber, KPK), across Momand Dara, Achin, and Lalpur districts (Nangarhar) from Afghanistan. A series of intermittent cross-border clashes began between the two sides following Pakistani airstrikes inside Afghanistan on 21 February 2026 (coded separately). There were no casualties.
