On 25 February 2026, Ukrainian drones struck an eponymous chemical plant in Dorogobuzh, Smolensk. 7 workers died, 11 were injured. Fires and subsequent detonations were breaking out at the premises throughout the day. Civilian evacuation was announced from the nearby areas. The attack led to water supply disruptions. Ammonia leaked from the factory polluting the air in the settlement.
