On 25 February 2026, police forces of Syria shelled a house in Kankaro village in Jablah countryside of Lattakia governorate and opened heavy machine-gun fire from surrounding hills, destroying the house completely. The attack resulted in the killing of a woman who was shot in the head and two brothers. Some sources denied the occurrence of clashes inside the village, while other sources claimed that the incident occurred amid clashes involving members affiliated with Saraya Al Jawad. 3 fatalities.
