Around 25 February 2026 (as reported), in Belem - Icoaraci (Para), a man was killed and his body was found with his hands bound behind his back and gunshot wounds on a barge near a port along Piraiba Road, in the Maracacuera neighborhood. The body was located after an anonymous call reported a corpse floating in the river. The victim had no prior criminal records. The killing was suspected to be an execution, and the motive remains unclear. 1 fatality.
