On 25 February 2026, in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), three drug traffickers shot, stabbed and injured a pregnant teenager in the Vila Calafate community. The perpetrators attempted to tear off one of the girl's arms. According to the victim, the motivation was related to a debt linked to drug trafficking. The military police arrested one suspect, who confessed that the group intended to kill the teenager and throw her body into the Arrudas River. There were no fatalities.
