On 24 February 2026, in Khaw Zar village (coded as Khaw Zar Chaung Wa) (Ye township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), a combined force of the Mon State Revolutionary Force and the Kanbauk Defense Force intercepted a Myanmar military column in front of the Khaw Zar market at about 8 pm. The two sides then exchanged fire for about 20 minutes. 2 military troops were killed, and 2 others sustained injuries. 2 fatalities.
