On 24 February 2026, in the west of Khin-U town (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the People's Defense Force - Khin-U (PaKaPha) and allies attacked a column of about 400 Myanmar military soldiers on the Khin-U-Ye-U road section, who set fire to civilian houses, shops and rice mills (coded separately), at around 6:00 pm. The fighting lasted about one hour. The combined force seized an MA1 gun. A lieutenant was killed and a military soldier was injured.
