On 24 February 2026, a suicide bomber affiliated with Ansar al Islam, linked to Ittehadul Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP), detonated himself at the interprovincial Dajal check-post in Bhakkar district (Bhakkar, Punjab), located at the boundary with Dera Ismail Khan (KPK). The explosion killed two Punjab Police constables and injured four individuals, including two polio workers, one passerby, and one police official. CCTV footage showed the bomber approaching the check-post shortly before detonation. Total 2 fatalities and 4 injured.
