On 24 February 2026, armed clashes erupted between police forces and members of Saraya Al Jawad's forces in in Basniya village in Jablah countryside of Lattakia governorate (coded to Busaysin village), when police forces carried out a security operation targeting the group's positions. The clashes resulted in the killing of the group's leader and one senior member of the group, as well as the killing of one member of the police forces and the injury of another. A civilian woman was also killed during the clashes. Police forces also arrested three members of Saraya Al Jawad and detonated a weapons and explosive devices depot belonging to the group. 4 fatalities.
