On 24 February 2026, in Piedrasentada (Patia, Cauca), members of the Carlos Patino FARC dissidents assaulted an armored cash-transport truck on the Panamericana Highway, robbing several bulletproof vests and firearms from the vehicle's personnel. Police forces arrived shortly afterward and clashed with the assailants, who then fled the scene. According to authorities, a truck driver was killed by the dissidents after being forced to block the roadway with his vehicle to facilitate the robbery. 1 fatality.
