On 24 February 2026, in Inhangapi (Para), three unidentified armed men shot and killed a man after forcibly entering his residence in the Vila Nova neighborhood. The perpetrators arrived in a silver or grey vehicle, broke down the door, and fired multiple shots at the victim while he was lying in bed, striking him in the head. The victim's partner and child were removed from the bedroom and placed in another room before the shooting. The killing was suspected to be an execution. The motive for the attack remains unclear. 1 fatality.
