On 24 February 2026, SPLM/A-IO members, alongside 'White Army' (Nuer ethnic militia), attacked an SSPDF base, resulting in an armed clash at an unspecified location in Ulang Payam (Ulang County, Upper Nile State). SSPDF forces repelled the opposition members toward Kopuot, near the airstrip. Casualties unknown.
