On 24 February 2026, at night, Boko Haram (JAS) militants attacked Sheweri, coded to the nearby Mayowandu (Madagali, Adamawa) and Kirchinga communities (coded separately), killing between 13 and 27 people and injuring several others. 13 fatalities coded as per the lowest available estimate.
