24th February 2026
On 24 February 2026, LNA special units, including from the 604th Brigade, the 87th Brigade, and the 101st Brigade, clashed with members of the Tebu Southern Liberation Operations Force in a mountainous valley in the area of the Tummo Border Crossing (Murzuq, South). The clash began following a special LNA operation in the area, during which it claimed to have freed 19 fighters who had been captured by the Tebu forces in an attack on the same area between Libya and Niger on 31 January (coded separately). The LNA used at least one first-person view (FPV) kamikaze drone in the operation, which struck a vehicle. Media outlets close to the LNA stated that its forces killed and captured an unspecified number of Tebu fighters and seized a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, military equipment, and vehicles. The LNA 604th Brigade announced the death of 1 of its members during the operation, while the Southern Liberation Operations Force stated that 2 of its members were killed. 3 fatalities coded.
