SAA event in Ouest, Delmas - St Louis de Gonzague- Henfrasa -Palais de l\'art area, Haiti on Mon 23rd February 2026

On 23 February 2026, in Delmas - St Louis de Gonzague- Henfrasa -Palais de l'art, Ouest, in the morning, police forces shot and killed two armed gang members near the Saint-Louis de Gonzague Institution (located between Delmas 33 and Delmas 31 roads). They were part of a group of six armed abductors moving in two vehicles (one registered to the State Service) whom the police had been chasing from Delmas 48, where they had tried to perpetrate a kidnapping earlier that day. The suspected abductors wore police uniforms. The four other accomplices escaped but were killed moments later in Delmas 17 (coded separately). During this operation against kidnappings, the National Police reported two police officers killed and three wounded between Saint Louis de Gonzague and Delmas 17 neighborhoods. At least one officer was confirmed killed in Saint-Louis de Gonzague, and two civilians injured. 2 police fatalities split across two events. At least 3 fatalities coded here (including 1 officer). 2 injured.
