On 23 February 2026, M23 clashed with Wazalendo from PARECO-FF, Mayi Mayi (Lamuka) and Raia Mutomboki clashed with M23 around Kanyaru hills, coded to a nearby location, Mumba (Masisi, Nord-Kivu), Mululu and Kawele (coded separately). Casualties unknown. An M23 unit deployed in Kingi was pushed back towards Kibabi by Wazalendo. Hundreds of civilians fled toward Kibabi, Rubaya, Ngungu and the eastern part of the territory.
