On 22 February 2026, in Pe Nut Sut village (coded as Homalin) (Homalin township, Hkamti district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes near a gold mine at around noon. There were no casualties. On the same day, the Myanmar military conducted another airstrike near the Shwe Latt Yar restaurant using 2 gyrocopters at around 3:00 pm. Khit Thit Media, Democratic Voice of Burma, Myanmar Now, Shwe Phee Myay News Agency and Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that 7 civilians were killed and 5 others were injured. Kachin News Group and Mizzima reported that 7 civilians and 2 members of the local resistance groups were killed. Fatalities coded as 9 (7 civilians and 2 local resistance members).
