Air Delivered event in Paktika, Srah Khat area, Afghanistan on Sun 22nd February 2026

On 22 February 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes on a residential home in the Srah Khat village of Urgoon district, Paktika, destroying the home. Pakistan claimed that seven positions in the provinces of Paktika, Nangarhar, and Khost were targeted, including TTP and ISKP hideouts, killing more than 100 individuals, including a senior operational commander of al-Qaeda and a deputy of Hafiz Gul Bahadur's group. Pakistan stated that these centers were involved in planning suicide attacks in Bannu, Bajaur, and a mosque on the outskirts of Islamabad. The Taliban claimed that civilians, including women and children, were targeted in the bombings between 21 and 22 February, and that dozens were killed and wounded across these provinces.
