On 22 February 2026, in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, there was and armed clash between state police forces and members of a Gang (likely CJNG) on Lazaro Cardenas Avenue in Colonia Alamo Industrial. A person was killed (affiliation unspecified) and two people were arrested. The armed individuals also burned two vehicles and used them to set up a (narco) roadblock on Lazaro Cardenas Avenue. Also an two Oxxo stores and two Farmacies of Farmacias del Ahorro were attacked (methods unknown) on Santa Rosalia and Papel Mache. This occurred following the killing of the top leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) during a military operation in Tapalpa, Jalisco earlier that same day (coded separately). Similar incidents were reported in other locations across the state and nationwide (coded separately). 1 fatality.
