On 22 February 2026, in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, armed individuals and suspected members of the CJNG attacked (methods unspecified) a National Guard base. During the attack, a vehicle exploded and a National Guard commander was killed while three other police officers were injured. Authorities reported the killing of 30 CJNG members and 25 officers of the security forces during clashes between on 22 February in Jalisco involving CJNG members. 3 fatality coded in this event, including the killing of the National Guard commander.
