On 22 February 2026, in Altamira (Para), an unidentified gunman on a motorcycle killed a man in a drive-by shooting in the Sao Joaquim neighborhood. The perpetrator pursued the victim's car and fired at least eight shots at the vehicle while three other occupants were inside, including a child, though they were not injured. The victim had previously served a sentence for drug trafficking. The motive for the attack remains unclear. 1 fatality.
