On 22 February 2026, near Milpillas, Jalisco, unidentified individuals (likely CJNG) and National Guard officers clashed. At least eight officers were killed. This clash took place following the killing of the top leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) during a military operation in Tapalpa, Jalisco, earlier the same day (coded separately). Authorities reported the killing of 30 CJNG members and 25 officers of the security forces during clashes between on 22 February in Jalisco involving CJNG members. 9 fatality coded in this event, including the eight officers.
