On 21 February 2026, near Thi Dar Kone Pyin and Myauk San villages (coded as Myauk San) (Yegyi township, Pathein district, Ayeyarwady region), the Myanmar military opened fire at four soldiers who had fled from the No.344 artillery battalion on 20 February (coded separately) in an attempt to arrest them. Two of the soldiers were detained after sustaining leg injuries, while the remaining two managed to escape.
