On 21 February 2026, military forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) and killed five IMP militants in Bannu district (Bannu, KPK), while militants were assembling a vehicle-borne IED intended to target security forces. The operation occurred prior to the suicide attack shortly after in the area (coded separately). Total 5 militant fatalities.
