On 21 February 2026, in Xique-Xique (Bahia), military police officers exchanged fire with drug traffickers in the city center. The officers conducted an operation after receiving reports about the presence of the suspects, who fired against them. An armed clash took place and a suspect was shot and killed. The others escaped. Police seized firearms and ammunition. 1 fatality.
