On 21 February 2026, in the rural area of Nova Bandeirantes (Mato Grosso) military police shot and killed two CV members during an operation to counter illegal mining, drug trafficking and extortion. The police were on patrol near the Jurena mining area when they spotted two suspects on a motorcycle, who tried to flee and hide in a house. The suspects opened fire at the police, who fired back, killing them. Firearms, ammunition, and drugs were seized and another suspect was arrested. 2 fatalities.
