UAV event in Crimea, Yevpatoria Aviation Repair Plant area, Ukraine on Thu 5th March 2026

Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Security Service of Ukraine struck the Yevpatoria aircraft repair plant and two Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems near the Dzhankoy airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported to Ukrinform by sources in the SSU.

"Drones from the SSU's Alpha Special Operations Center opened the spring season of strikes on Russian military facilities in Crimea last night. They struck the production workshops of the Yevpatoria Aviation Repair Plant, as well as the locations of military equipment and personnel in the village of Pushkino (near the Dzhankoy airfield)," the report said.

According to preliminary information, the following were hit: two Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems; a Mohajer-6 UAV on the airfield; a ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun on a truck; two fuel tankers; and a Forpost UAV ground control station.

"The SSU's systematic special operations in Crimea are aimed at destroying the military infrastructure that Russia uses to attack Ukraine. We are purposefully knocking out the enemy's air defense systems, drones, and equipment to weaken its ability to cover its bases and strike Ukrainian cities. The enemy will not be able to feel safe — especially in the Ukrainian Crimea," an informed source in the SSU said.
