On February 23, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bhim Sen Tuti stated that Security Forces (SFs) eliminated three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants, including commander Saifullah, in the Chhatroo area of Kishtwar District, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), neutralising the seven-member Israel Group, reports Daily Excelsior. While addressing a press conference, he said the group had infiltrated in April 2024 and was engaged 17 times. The IGP added that action would also be taken against Over Ground Workers (OGWs). General Officer Commanding (GOC) Counter-Insurgency Force (CIF) Delta, Major General A P S Bal, stated that intelligence-based operations would continue. Three AK-47 rifles and war-like stores were recovered. No SF casualties were reported.
