On February 23, Police arrested two key operatives, identified as Mahavir alias Kaka and Manpreet alias Mani, with a 9-mm Glock pistol and four live cartridges, involved in the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Nalagarh Police Station in Himachal Pradesh on February 1, reports The Tribune. Preliminary investigation revealed they acted under directions of foreign-based masterminds—Gopi Nawashehria, Jassi Kulam, and Shushant Chopra—linked to the banned outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). They had procured consignments of RDX-based IEDs and hand grenades; the blast on January 1 was carried out using one such device. Six accomplices had been arrested earlier.
