On February 22, Police recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) behind the Rayya Police Post under Beas PS limits in Amritsar District of Punjab, reports The Tribune. The device was safely defused by the bomb disposal squad. No terror outfit or gangster group has claimed responsibility. Security agencies cordoned off the area and launched an intensive search operation. Further investigation is underway.
