IED event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kabalgram, Shangla District area, Pakistan on Mon 16th February 2026

Three Policemen and three Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists were killed during an operation in the Kabalgram area of Martung tehsil (revenue unit) in Shangla District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 16, reports The Khorasan Diary. A Shangla District Police official said a terrorist attacked a Police party during a search-and-strike operation in the Kabalgram area, resulting in the martyrdom of three Policemen. The Police retaliated and eliminated three terrorists. Among the slain terrorists, a wanted TTP ‘commander’, identified as Salman, was there who carries a head money of five million PKR. Another terrorists was yet to be identified. The third attacker was a suicide bomber who exploded his suicide vest in order to evade. The dead personnel were identified as Head Constable Maqbool Ahmad and Elite Force constables Saeed-ur-Rehman and Fida Hussain.
