On February 16, three inmates, including two Pakistani nationals, escaped from a juvenile observation home in RS Pura area of Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) after allegedly firing at two policemen, injuring them, reports Daily Excelsior. The injured were identified as Head Constable Praveen Kumar and Special Police Officer (SPO) Vinay Kumar, who were later shifted to Government Medical College, Jammu; their condition was stated to be stable. The absconders were identified as Ahsan Anwar (Nankana Sahib, Pakistan), Mohammad Sanaullah (Muzaffarabad, Pakistan) and Karanjit Singh alias Gugga of Dablehar in RS Pura.
